Panalpina's funeral and Agility's integration
The Danish holding has changed its name from DSV Panalpina to DSV. The DSV shareholders approved this step, which was proposed by the board of directors, at a recent extraordinary general meeting at the group's headquarters in Hedehusene near Copenhagen, Denmark.
DSV Panalpina has been the name of the parent company since 2019. Now, DSV justified the brand rollback with the DKK 30 billion acquisition in shares of Agility’s global integrated logistics business (GIL) in August this year.
Tarek Sultan Al-Essa was elected as Agility's representative on the board of directors. He is currently vice chairman of Agility and, at the same time, he holds positions as a member of the Board of Trustees, Kuwait’s Silk City and Boubyan Island Development Project. (sh)
