Pall-Ex acquires Fortec
The Pall-Ex Group has acquired the Fortec Distribution network (FD) through a new subsidiary, the For-Ex Distribution Network. FD will continue to trade as Fortec Distribution and will operate as a separate pallet network in the UK, even once it becomes part of the Pall-Ex Group of companies.
The two firms, both of which were founded in Leicestershire in 1996, have a combined total of 168 network members. They represent a welcome addition to the Pall-Ex Group’s European membership of 600 firms. The addition of Fortec’s 19,500 m2 warehouse at Watling Park, in the county of Northamptonshire (England), means the Pall-Ex Group now has more than 55'700 m2 of capacities.
The company grew by more than 11% above the sector average in Q1 and Q2 2020. This is the second purchase by Pall-Ex Group, following a buyout by its senior UK management team and shareholder members in November 2019. (mw)
