Packing parcels in Portugual


DPD has opened a new parcel distribution hub in Loures, Portugal, where the express transport provider is looking to achieve a turnover of EUR 115 million.

 

After recording its best year ever in 2023, DPD Portugal is now expanding its portfolio with a ca. 12,000 sqm distribution hub. It will be DPD’s biggest site in Portugal, comprising 9,000 sqm for warehousing and 3,100 sqm of offices for administration.

 

Equipped with a crossbelt system, the facility can manage over 10,000 parcels per hour and deliver them throughout the Greater Lisbon area. The site has been backed by a EUR 30 million investment and will be a central part of DPD’s operations in Portugal. It has been certified Breeam Excellent for its sustainable design. (mk)
