Over the Irish Sea
Toga Freight Services announced earlier this month that it has acquired London-based Irish Sea Logistics, a specialist forwarder operating between Great Britain and Ireland and thus gained a further opening into the British market.
From its customs TSF bonded warehouse in Kent, Irish Sea Logistics daily dispatches groupage trailers to Ireland and Northern Ireland. Its customs team will now work with Toga’s team in Dublin to develop a land bridge solution for freight headed to Ireland from Europe.
Toga’s partners in Europe will thus also profit from this new base. The move follows Toga’s recent acquisition of a fellow Irish logistics company in April this year (see ITJ Daily of 19 April 2024). The company plans to further expand its portfolio in the region and beyond in the near future. (mk)
