Outdoor enthusiasts scale the peaks with Panattoni
Right on schedule, on 31 March 2020, Panattoni handed over the extension of the logistics centre at the location Standort Rottenburg-Ergenzingen, south of Stuttgart (Germany), to the online retailer and outdoor specialist Bergfreunde. Because of the corona crisis, the transfer of the property had to take place in compliance with strict hygiene and safety standards.
Bergfreunde had contracted the project developer of industrial and logistics estate to extend the existing 10,000 sqm building – also a Panattoni project – by a further 11,331 sqm. The extension includes 9,927 sqm of logistics and 1,404 sqm of office and social areas.
70 car and three truck parking spaces were also part of the project, which achieved the gold standard of the "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen" (German association for sustainable construction), as a testimony to its eco-friendly design. (ah)
