Oslo welcomes third weekly ABC flight
From today (28 May 2019), Airbridgecargo Airlines (ABC) is adding a third weekly cargo departure from Avinor Oslo airport. The new departure will be tailor-made for the export of seafood from Norway to Seoul and South Korea via Moscow.
In 2018, ABC lifted Norwegian seafood with an estimated export value of about EUR 51 million on its two weekly freighter departures from Norway's capital airport.
"With the new departure, capacity is estimated to increase by another NOK 0.25 billion (EUR 25 million) in annual export value," Avinor's cargo director Martin Langaas expects.
With the added capacity, ABC will be able to offer the market close to 230 t of seafood capacity from Oslo on Tuesdays. The route will be operated by the world's largest Western commercial freighter, the B747-8F. (ah)
