Ortec to expand under new leadership
Georgios Sarigiannidis (pictured) has taken over as CEO of Ortec, replacing Michael van Duijn, who was with the company for more than 30 years.
Sarigiannidis, previously Ortec’s CCO, brings 18 years of experience with him and will lead a strategy to double revenue in three years.
At the same time Kurt Demeuleneere was appointed CFO. A finance expert with nearly 20 years of experience he’ll focus on M&A and expansion, particularly in Germany, France, the UK and the USA.
The company’s growth is also backed by ‘Battery Ventures’, which joined as an investor in 2024. Ortec, a global provider of logistics optimisation software, has been active in Germany for over 30 years and expects rising demand for its solutions, despite ongoing cost pressures. (ah)
