OOCL: another record result
OOCL has published its unaudited results for Q3/2021: While volumes contracted, revenue in general and per box grew significantly. In detail, for the third quarter ended on 30 September 2021, revenues amounted to USD 4.3 billion, a growth of 125.3% compared to the same period last year.
The carrier said in a press release: "This record result was achieved despite severe congestion around the network, which drove down liftings by 7.2% and loadable capacity by 7.6%."
Average revenue per teu also went up considerably by 142.7% compared to Q3/2020. The overall load factor was 0.4% higher than the same period in 2020.
For the nine months in the running year 2021, revenues went up by 114.4% and volumes increased by 9.6% over the same period last year. Average revenue per teu rose by 95.6%. (sh)
