Online retailer goes for Prologis
In September 2020, Prologis completed a new logistics facility in accordance with the WELL Building Standard in Datteln, in the northern part of the German Ruhr region. Even before the speculative real estate was completed, Prologis had found a prospective user: online retailer Euziel International.
During the final phase of the development, Prologis worked closely Euziel to adapt the 27,800 sqm real estate to its client's needs. "Our company has grown strongly over the last two years," says Yi Kong, managing director of Euziel International.
"Even during the pandemic we achieved a continuously high turnover – and therefore required more logistics areas in the Ruhr region. The Prologis Park Datteln is close to the A2 motorway, which leads from the Netherlands to eastern Europe. From our new location we can now deliver our products to our customers across Europe." The partners are already planning their next cooperation in the USA. (sh)
