One Swiss belly to Beijing, two series to New York
Swiss World Cargo will re-introduce additional capacity into its network. Ashwin Bhat, head of cargo, Swiss International Air Lines: "In addition to our three-times weekly service to EWR, we will offer a cargo-only belly capacity to JFK two times per week. To Asia we will start with cargo-only belly capacity from ZRH to Shanghai PVG with a block of ten flights in the first half of April, as well as a one-time service between ZRH and Beijing (PEK)."
Today, 2 April 2020, the first JFK and the PEK are taking off. Like the Shanghai service from tomorrow, all flights are operated by an A340-300 with up to 32 t of capacity. Bhat: "Further flights may be added in the coming weeks. We are also open to discussing dedicated full belly or co-load charter services using our different aircraft available." (ah)
