One more step towards decarbonisation
Bolloré Logistics Belgium recently introduced a rotation of trucks running on biofuel to offer a transport solution that cuts CO2 emissions and thus reduces the carbon footprint. The haulier uses the environmentally friendly vehicles for pre- and post-delivery flows from the cargo area to its Machelen warehouse (Belgium).
The biofuel trucks operate shuttle runs in the Brucargo zone from 08.00 to 20.00 on weekdays, and six hours on weekends to pick up imports, Bolloré said.
This project is in line with the company’s aim to reduce scope 3 CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030 (base 2019). With biofuel trucks, the forwarder reduces CO2 emissions by 60% and particulate emissions by 80%. (ben)
