ONE joins Metrans' sustainable rail services
Ocean Network Express (ONE), headquartered in Singapore, has integrated Metrans CO2 neutral rail transport services into its European inland network. It now participates in HHLA Pure, an eco-friendly rail service connecting the ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven (both in Germany) and Koper (Slovenia) to the German and Central European hinterland.
Certified by the independent German accreditation body TÜV, the service includes modern CO₂-optimised hybrid and electric locomotives, electrification at the port container terminal and cargo handling with widely electrified processes. Any unavoidable CO₂ emissions are offset by internationally certified gold standard climate protection projects. (ben)
