On big and small anniversaries
Cargo-Partner in Hong Kong recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of its regional head office for the Asia-Pacific region. 2023 also marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Austrian group at Vienna Airport.
As the company's regional head office, the Hong Kong branch oversees more than 1,000 employees in over 40 offices in Asia.
In 2004, cargo-partner decided to gain a foothold in Asia and opened its first offices in Taipei and Shanghai. An office in Hong Kong was added in 2006, initially under the company name "c.p.". In 2008, the company name was officially changed to "Cargo-Partner", and the Hong Kong office became the headquarters in the region.
Since then, the logistics company has completed its regional network with additional branches in India, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Australia.
The Hong Kong organisation handled over 52,000 transportation orders in 2022, with air freight experiencing the largest growth last year at 42.900 t. Demand for warehousing services has also grown exponentially, reflected in a 52.5% rise in logistics revenue between 2021 and 2022.
Cargo-Partner currently offers 9,600 sqm of warehousing space in Hong Kong and over 32,000 sqm of warehousing space in Asia Pacific. (cd)
