Oman Aviation Services joins Tiaca board
Khalfan Al Shueili, CEO of Oman Aviation Services (OAS), has been elected to the board of The International Air Cargo Association (Tiaca). He has headed OAS, based at Muscat airport (Oman), for the last 15 months.
Air cargo in the Sultanate of Oman witnessed a significant growth from 2013 to 2018, when volumes almost doubled. Al Shueili previously spent more than seven years leading readiness operations for the Oman Airports Management Company during a period of expansion.
“Tiaca brings together all sectors of the cargo supply chain, and the addition of OAS means we have gained more airport and ground-handling expertise from this important and growing region for our board,” said Tiaca chairman Sebastiaan Scholte.
OAS signed a memorandum of understanding with Tiaca in January, pledging to work with the association to promote air cargo growth in the Middle East. (mw)
