OMA group announces three appointments
Ghana-based OMA Group, which supports ship agency, logistics and energy support services in West Africa, has announced three new appointments at its head office, in Senegal and the Ivory Coast.
Samad Osman (photo), who joined from its position as Africa CEO at Hapag-Lloyd, became group COO, effective March 2021. He oversees group’s business development strategy and the implementation of its “growth plans, particularly in logistics”.
Effective 1 May 2021, Charles Sugden was appointed as Côte d’Ivoire country manager. He has been working for the OMA Group at its Senegal office for a year. He has also worked with APM Terminals.
Finally, logistics professional Kurven Monien has been chosen as the group's Senegal country manager with effect from 1 May 2021. His previous position was at Maersk in Senegal. (amh)
