Olafsen takes over sales leadership at Optimarin
Tonje Olafsen has been appointed vice-president for sales and project at Optimarin, taking over from Tore Andersen.
A former naval officer, Olafsen brings strong leadership and team-building skills from her 15 years in the Royal Norwegian Navy. She previously served as operations manager at Optimarin, gaining broad insight into customer service, internal processes and project execution.
In her new role, she aims to strengthen Optimarin’s market position in ballast water treatment systems by boosting newbuild orders and targeting retrofit replacements. Olafsen is committed to intention-based leadership and promoting collaborative teamwork, while also supporting female leadership in shipping through her engagement with Wista Norway. (ah)
