Nurminen Logistics expands in Sweden

The Finnish logistics company, and its partner, the Swedish carrier Väte Rail, are opening a new rail connection in Sweden from Haparanda and Umea to the port of Gothenburg with regular, scheduled, and weekly train services to start in April.

Nurminen explained that freight can be transported first from Vaasa, on Wasaline's ro-pax vessel, to Umea, and from there by rail to Gothenburg. In the North, loading and unloading operations are carried out at the Haparanda terminal.

The new connection allows fast access to almost anywhere in the world, and freight can be transported in both containers and trailers, the company added.

Nurminen Logistics offers a complete door-to-door logistics supply chain, including freight forwarding and terminal services. (ben)
