NSSL expands electric yard truck fleet
National Shunt Service (NSSL) is further accelerating its sustainability goals by expanding the deployment of its electric shunt trucks from Orange EV at various sites in Canada and the USA.
The move follows the successful integration of the ‘e-Triever’ and ‘Husk-e’ models into yard operations, which have delivered strong results in terms of performance, reliability and cost-efficiency.
“Our experience with Orange EV has been outstanding,” said Ray Stewart, president and CEO of the Toronto-based company. “We recently helped a major customer launch a 100% EV yard, proving these trucks can meet the demands of real-time logistics,” he added.
NSSL has also enhanced its ‘shuntware’ platform to provide real-time tracking of EV usage and sustainability metrics, ensuring electrification becomes an integrated part of smarter, cleaner yard management. (ah)
