Novel passenger transport system takes to the skies
The Max Bögl group has sent the first two-section vehicle of the Transport System Bögl with one of the world’s largest transport aircraft to its place of operation in China.
This is the next milestone for the finalisation of the demonstration track in Chengdu. The novel local passenger transport system, which is very low and light with a girder of 1.2 m in height and 23.5 m in length, will start operation on the 3.5-km track in the summer.
On the way to its destination, it was first loaded onto trucks at the Max Bögl group’s headquarters in Sengenthal and transported (120 km) to Munich airport. From there, the new series-production vehicle was lifted by an AN-124-100 to China, over 7,500 km away. The TSB team will commission the vehicle together with the Chinese partner company Xinzhu. (ah)
