Toys R Us Asia has opened its new regional distribution hub in Shenzhen, China, in partnership with APL Logistics. The new site will support the toys manufacturer’s operations in Asia. Leveraging APL Logistics’ expertise in distribution and supply chain solutions, the company will be able to ensure a steady supply of products for its customers in the region.
Equipped with a high level of digitisation and advanced order management capabilities, the hub will serve over 500 stores in Asia. The companies are working to create a lean and adaptable distribution solution with which Toys R Us can improve customer experience in local markets.
APL Logistics is part of the KWE Group, whose roots can be traced back to 1948. In 1970, the group’s air cargo unit split off to become Japan’s first specialist in this sector. (mk)
