Norlink Ports and Strasbourg close ranks
Ports of Strasbourg and Norlink Ports have inked an agreement to jointly develop the "Northern Axis" or "Northern Corridor" in France. The partnership aims to further expand multimodal transport services between Hauts-de-France and Strasbourg.
Today, Ports of Strasbourg is France’s second largest inland port with 7.6 million t of goods transported by high-volume modes of transport (rail and river) and port expertise that extends over 100 km on the Rhine from Marckolsheim to Lauterbourg.
The Norlink Federation - Norlink Ports, Norlink Fluvial, Norlink Ferroviaire, Norlink Plaisance -comprises around 100 partners from the port, logistics and multimodal sectors of the Hauts-de-France region.
The signatories of this partnership have agreed to work together to improve the cooperation between the ports, multimodal services and commercial promotion and to further joint research and innovation projects. (sh)
