Noerpel needs more space
The Noerpel group is setting up a new logistics centre on a 50,000 sqm plot in Heidenheim (Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany). The real estate will be built just beside the company’s local freight forwarding branch.
“We need this new building because we were able to expand our customer business in the 46,000 sqm logistics park in Herbrechtingen,”says Berthold Bernecker, managing director of the Noerpel group. Like the facility in Herbrechtingen, the new property will have a crane runway to transport heavy goods.
Initially, existing customers from the region’s industry will move into the new facility. These customers include companies from the consumer goods, automotive, paper production and mechanical engineering industries. Potential new customers have also indicated their interest. Earthworks will begin in April and the facility is scheduled to become operational by the end of 2020. (mw)
