Noatum's expansion in Europe
AD Ports Group has announced that its logistics cluster operator Noatum is acquiring a 100% equity ownership of Sesé Auto Logistics, a finished vehicles logistics (FVL) business, for EUR 81 million (USD 85 million). Sesé Auto Logistics handles road and rail transport logistics in five European countries with over 200 trucks, serving renowned OEMs.
The acquisition complements Noatum's plan to offer a comprehensive automotive logistics solution, integrating port terminals in Spain, and capitalising on the estimated EUR 3 billion (USD 3.1 billion) FVL market in Europe.
According to Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, managing director and group CEO of AD Ports Group, this move aligns with the group’s strategy to build and expand end-to-end supply chains worldwide, particularly in Europe's growing automotive sector.
Antonio Campoy, CEO of Noatum Logistics Cluster, aims to enhance Noatum Automotive's industry solutions and strengthen its logistics supply chain products. The takeover is expected to be finalised by Q1/2024, subject to regulatory approvals. (pb)
