No ebb in the e-commerce boom
B2C is it. Eurodis, a transport network covering 38 European countries, saw some growth in volumes despite a weakening economy in Europe. Without given many details, the network spoke of a growth rate of 80% in 2023.
"We have more than quadrupled the number of shipments since 2019," commented Jens Reibold, managing director of Eurodis. Starting out in the B2B business, the company changed its strategy in 2015 and opened up to B2C. Now, more than every second consignment is sent to a private address.
The network is run from its centre in Weinheim, Germany. Its membership includes Bonafide in Switzerland, Österreichische Post in Austria, Post NL in the Netherlands, Redur in Spain/Portugal, or SDA in Italy.
In 2022, Eurodis members employed 50,000 people, operated 23,000 vehicles, forwarded about 982 million shipments and generated a revenue of EUR 5.5 billion. (cd)
