No aviation without air freight
The debate on climate change has brought the aviation industry into public focus. For this reason, politicians, economists and scientists gathered at Germany’s first national aviation conference at Leipzig-Halle airport last week to sign a statement regarding the future of the aviation industry.
The Aircargo Club Germany (ACD) welcomes this development and calls it an important commitment to air transport and its compatibility with an eco-friendly transport policy.
On the other hand, the industry calls for a stronger appreciation of the role played by the air freight sector. ACD president Professor Dr Christopher W. Stoller: "Air freight services are of great importance to us all. Without them, many pharmaceutical products or important spare parts would no longer be available." (ah)
