No April Fool: Greek carrier temporarily adjusts PAX cabin
Star Alliance member Aegean and Hellenic Petroleum support the current effort to combat the Covid-19 crisis, by operating cargo flights for the transport of medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
By further expanding their cooperation recently launched in Greece, the two companies will also meet the needs of Cypriots: Aegean will be responsible for the aircraft, crew and other variable costs, while its partner through EKO Cyprus will cover the fuel costs.
Aegean will initially offer up to ten flights to China, Far East or other countries that produce medical and pharmaceutical materials or other equipment that can be carried by its fleet. In order to maximise available cargo capacity, the airline has already adequately adjusted two of its A320/321 PAX aircraft, expanding the overall capacity by threefold to 120/170 cbm. (ah)
