Nippon: safe and sustainable air transport
Equipped with isothermal containers, Nippon’s airfreight service is set to help its new partner, Otsuka Pharmaceutical, cut CO2 emissions for export shipments. The pharmaceuticals producer requires temperature control for the safe transport of its goods from Japan to the Americas and Europe.
However, the containers it had previously been deploying were one-way and discarded after use, prompting it to look for a more sustainable and long-term solution. Nippon offers reuseable containers that are isothermal and comply with ISTA 7D conditions, keeping goods safe while reducing CO2 emissions and resource waste.
Otsuka already employed the service for export shipments in February and is now looking to roll it out in its global network. (mk)
