Nippon receives Iata Ceiv Pharma certification
Nippon Express in UK (NXUK) have been awarded Iata Ceiv Pharma certification, a quality certification for pharmaceutical transport established by the International Air Transport Association (Iata), for its facility at Heathrow Airport.
Nippon has positioned the pharmaceutical industry as a key industry in its business plan 2023, and is pursuing the global development of a safe and secure pharmaceutical logistics platform to meet the ever more sophisticated and diverse needs of pharmaceutical logistics, the company said.
Already in April 2020, NXUK was awarded its good distribution practice (GDP) certification & wholesale distribution authorisation (WDA) from the UK’s regulatory agency for medicines & healthcare products, evidencing its compliance with internationally recognised standards for the proper distribution of pharmaceuticals.
Together with its Ceiv Pharma certification, Nippon will now be able to provide safer and higher-quality pharmaceutical transportation services using UK, an important hub for the pharmaceutical industry, as a nodal point, the group said. (ben)
