Niklas Kirwel returns to Setlog
Supply chain management software provider Setlog has appointed Niklas Kirwel (photo) as its new CEO. He will replace Ralf Duester, co-founder and current CEO of Setlog, who has been elected as chairman of the company’s board of directors. Duester spent ten years as CEO of the New York-based firm.
Kirwel will report to the board of directors in New York and to Setlog’s executive board at its headquarters in Bochum, Germany. Kirwel’s task will be to expand the North American market, while gaining new customer business and standardising processes.
Starting his career at Setlog in 2006 as customer relationship manager, Kirwel was also responsible for the European and North American markets as VP product US and managing director EMEA from 2013. In 2018, he left Setlog and moved to UK to work for two software service specialists. Most recently he was head of solutions portfolio management, pricing and innovations at Unicepta in Cologne, Germany.
Kirwel also spent several years working voluntarily as an advisory board member of the California Fashion Association and on the social compliance and logistics committees of the American Apparel & Footwear Association. (amh)
