Cargo-Partner's liaison office in Jakarta is being upgraded to a branch office. Given that the Indonesian transport and logistics sector is currently showing a growth rate of more than 15%, the Austrian logistics provider is taking advantage of a change in local legislation in 2021, with the Indonesian government allowing foreign logisticians to offer their services directly to customers in Indonesia. This was not legally possible before.
CEO Stefan Krauter is “happy with this entry into the Indonesian market, as it represents our continuing regional expansion.”
Cargo-Partner opened offices in China and Taiwan in 2004, in Thailand and Singapore in 2008, and further extended its network in Southeast Asia with new branches in Malaysia (2011), Vietnam (2013), Myanmar (2017) and Cambodia (2018).
The branch office now has eleven employees. Cargo-partner employs more than 200 people in its locations in the region. (sh)
