Newbuild's first call in Rostock
The new ro-pax ferry "Nils Holgerson" has called at the overseas port of Rostock for the first time. The newbuild from China will be used by the ferry company TT Line in triangular traffic between the German ports of Travemünde, Rostock and the Swedish port of Trelleborg.
With a length of 230 m, the "Nils Holgerson" is the longest ship in the TT Line fleet. It increases cargo capacity via the port of Rostock. At the first call, a representative of the port presented the ship and crew with a plaque for the first call at the Warnow river.
An older vessel, which was formerly also called "Nils Holgerson", now sails under the name of "Akka". (sh)
