New Wildberg facility for Schuon Group
The Schuon Group is expanding its contract logistics services and increasing its capacity for handling lithium-ion batteries at its Wildberg facility, which will enlarge the logistics area on this site to around 40,000 sqm. It is the largest investment in the company's history to date.
The logistics property is expected to be ready for occupation from March 2025. The logistics space will also be used flexibly for processing products from other industries and as battery storage for buildings.
The Wildberg site has direct access to the A81 motorway via a feeder road bypassing the city and is supported by the municipal authorities. A photovoltaic system will cover all annual electricity requirements for heating, cooling, lighting, and other consumers. Air-water heat pumps will be used for heating. (mk)
