New vehicle for learner drivers
The Swiss truck driving school Reto Derungs has been using Renault trucks for its training courses in Domat/Ems for almost eight years. It recently put a new training vehicle from the French truck manufacturer into operation.
The T460 is equipped for learner drivers and instructors and features not only driving school pedals. The "sleeper cab", for example, does not have a bed, but four seats, two of them centrally located behind the front seats.
This means that two experts can sit in the truck when driving instructors are being trained. When learning how to work with electronically assisted systems - Ecodrive, for example - another learner driver can look over the shoulder of his colleague at the wheel while he is operating the vehicle.
