New unit for healthcare logistics
With the establishment of a specialised unit for pharmaceutical logistics, Trans Pharma International (TPI), headquartered in UK, the Walden Group, a specialist in healthcare logistics in Europe, aims to expand and improve its range of international transport services.
The newly founded company offers worldwide customs clearance and procurement of healthcare products, with a focus on the European network with more than 3,000 vehicles for partial and full loads as well as express transports. Air and sea freight are also part of the portfolio.
David Evans, TPI's newly appointed CEO, sees the start-up well equipped: "We are bringing together different elements that were previously spread across different operating units of Walden Group such as Eurotranspharma, Movianto Transport Solutions or CSP, and are now managing them centrally."
Welsh came to healthcare logistics in 2008 as head of the pharmaceutical division of Yusen Logistics in UK. In 2011, he moved to Movianto, which became part of the French family-owned Walden Group in June 2020.
TPI is headquartered in Bedford, UK, and also runs its own offices in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. Further subsidiaries or branches in other countries, such as Germany, are currently being prepared. (sh)
