New train with direct link to Scandinavia
Kombiverkehr has added another block train option to its range of intermodal services on the north south corridor between Scandinavia, Finland, the Baltic and Italy. Starting on 1 February 2021, a new direct rain will offer three weekly roundtrips between Lübeck-Skandinavienkai in Germany und Verona Quadrante Europa in northern Italy via the Brenner Pass.
The new option provides efficient and fast gateway connections to and from Sweden and Finland, Kombiverkehr says. Thanks to a timetable that connects with ferry sailings, load units with profiles of up to P400 can cover the distance from Verona to Southern Sweden in less than 48 hours, and to Finland in 72 hours.
