New train in Benelux portfolio
On 12 March, Kombiverkehr is launching a new train between Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and Köln-Eifeltor (Germany). In Rotterdam, it will terminate at the rail service centre (RSC) in Waalhaven. With a transit time of twelve hours, the trains leave on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in both directions.
Transfers to nearby parts of the port are available from the continental RSC terminal. In Köln-Eifeltor, there are connections to Munich, Ulm, and Kornwestheim in Germany and to Basel in Switzerland.
The trains provide for intermodal transport with P400 loading units and can carry all dangerous goods with the exception of classes 1 and 7. The services are organised with Kombiverkehrs’ traction partner Kombi Rail Europe. (ben)
