New shuttle warehouse for fashion logistics specialist
The Osnabruck (Germany)-based fashion logistics specialist Meyer & Meyer is to focus more closely on automated solutions and has built a new, automated shuttle warehouse to fulfil that target.
A storage and retrieval system, costing some EUR 11 million, has been integrated into the existing logistics hall at the company’s Peine platform.
The new, automated small parts warehouse offers both whole box and single part handling and - depending on the box size - has between 80,000 to 100,000 static storage spaces. The boxes can either be stored alone or double deep depending on size. (mw)
