New service to ease pressure on supply chains
CMA CGM has introduced the French Peak Service, a seasonal shipping line designed to meet the increased demand between Asia and Europe. From 30 June to early September, seven additional 7,000 teu vessels will operate bi-weekly from China to Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, enhancing capacity by 25%.
The service will alternate between routes to Le Havre, Antwerp, and Fos-sur-Mer, Malta, with the first departure from Yantian on 30 June with the vessel “APL Oregon”.
This move aims to alleviate supply chain pressures, particularly benefiting French clients, amidst maritime route disruptions. (pb)
