New safety devices at the LSCT in La Spezia
Three new emergency medical devices have recently been installed at the La Spezia container terminal. The LSCT equipped the workplace with three defibrillators, strategically positioned in three different areas of the terminal.
Present at the inauguration the La Spezia municipality, represented by Anna Maria Sorrentino, urban planning alderwoman and the local Red Cross committee, represented by Caterina Budroni, deputy inspector of the II.VV committee of the Italian Red Cross.
This initiative is part of the risk prevention activities deployed by LSCT. The topics of welfare and health will be part of the new training programme “safe behaviours”, which will start in LSCT in November, involving all personnel. The programme aims at preventing risks through the promotion of a welfare and health culture among the employees.
The project will start with two training meetings, on stress management and postural education - topics which impact the everyday life of each employee, who will be provided with theoretical and practical tools to manage them. (fd)
