New rail links between Rotterdam and Southern Germany

Eurogate Intermodal (Egim), a Hamburg-based service provider for international intermodal container transport by road and rail, is adding new rail links to its portfolio.

From 1 July 2019, the company will offer three weekly direct connections between the port of Rotterdam and each of the inland depots in Kornwestheim, Munich and Nuremberg in southern Germany.

The services connect the sites in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg directly to the seaport terminals ECT Delta and Euromax on Maasvlakte I in the port of Rotterdam.

The APMT and RWG terminals on Maasvlakte II can be reached with the Rotterdam Port Shuttle. Connections to the port of Antwerp (Belgium) are available upon request. (ben)
