New president for Assoporti

Zeno D'Agostino, who was elected vice-president of the European Seaport Organisation (Espo) in autumn 2018, is now stepping down as president of Italy’s port association Assoporti. His successor is Daniele Rossi, who was formerly president of the Central and North Adriatic section.

Rossi remarked: "Assoporti president is a challenging job, but I am convinced that we can promote Italy’s ports in this difficult era.”

Assoporti especially wants to hold talks with the country’s ministry of transport and discuss issues such as taxes, regulation and dredging in ports. The new president will also concentrate on the renewal of contracts with dock workers. (mw)
