New policy director at CHBC
The California Hydrogen Business Council (CHBC) has appointed Sara Fitzsimon Nelson as its policy director. She joins from the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) as a legislative analyst, collaborating with coalition members to draft legislation, partnering with legislative staff and interacting with legislative leaders.
As a student advocate with the McGeorge Legislation and Public Policy Clinic, she researched and drafted assembly bill 1077 (Eggman), incentives of a collaborative court programme.
Fitzsimon Nelson: “I am excited to begin advancing state policies that will further enable the deployment of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in California.”
Comprised of companies, agencies, non-governmental organisations and academia involved in the business of hydrogen, CHBC is committed to advancing the commercialisation of hydrogen and fuel cells in the energy and transportation sectors to achieve California’s climate, air quality and decarbonisation goals.
