New partner for China-France e-commerce
Following the 2019 launch of DPD China under the Lenton Group umbrella and benefiting from the rollout of multimodal services between China and Europe, Lenton Group is implementing additional logistics solutions to strengthen its connections with the DPD Group network in Europe.
It has now formed a strategic partnership with Chinese Hainan Airlines to charter two weekly flights from Haikou to Paris to help transport up to 72 t of parcels, which, before the pandemic, were flown on passenger planes.
This one-year agreement signed exactly one month ago, on 27 March 2021, is in line with DPD Group’s new five year-strategy "together & beyond", which aims to capture the growth of international e-commerce. This collaboration will help facilitate cross-border development and build intercontinental volumes. (ah)
