New Istanbul hub for Varamar
Varamar has responded to increasing demand from the Caspian Sea region and the Middle East by opening a branch in Istanbul (Turkey). Emre Öncü, the new managing director of Varamar Istanbul, will head the office.
This expansion of its global presence augments Varamar’s semi-liner services connecting Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. The cargo carrier, which specialises in dry bulk and oversized consignments, amongst others, focuses on the Mediterranean and Black Seas, as well as Turkey. The company aims to facilitate future growth by leveraging Istanbul’s strategic location as a bridge between East and West.
Varamar is known for its comprehensive shipping solutions and will continue to offer additional services, such as document support, port operations monitoring, engineering and exceptional cargo care.
Varamar was established in 2009 and transports a wide range of goods, from dismantled plants and factories to wind turbines, bridges, vehicles and stadiums. It has representative offices in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. (pb)
