New hub in Western Australia


Mainfreight has opened a new site in Kenwick, Perth, Western Australia, combining air, ocean, warehousing, and wharf operations in one location. The facility has 20,750 sqm of warehousing space, a temperature-controlled area for 1,000 pallet spaces and eight docks for loading and unloading containers.

 

The site features flexible storage mediums, including advanced satellite racking systems. Wharf operations comprise a container-rated hard stand of 19,500 sqm, 800 sqm of undercover operating space and infrastructure for temperature-sensitive freight.

 

The site is located close to the Kenwick rail terminal, enabling a swift movement of goods and freight exchange. Mainfreight has also placed emphasis on sustainability with solar installations and energy saving measures. (mk)
