New healthcare facilities in Central Europe


UPS Healthcare has inaugurated a new 13,000 sqm warehouse for its hub near Budapest, Hungary. Offering a variety of cool chain environments to transport temperature-sensitive medicines and biologics, the USA-based CEP player has 37,000 sqm of dedicated healthcare space in the country.

 

In addition to the new facility, the provider operates a growing fleet of temperature-controlled vehicles that serve 32 countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

 

UPS Healthcare has also made further investments in Central Europe. This includes the first dedicated healthcare facility in Ostrava, Czechia, and a new 17,000 sqm facility in Blonie, Poland. The company is also opening its first-ever dedicated healthcare facility in Giessen, Germany, early next year.

 

UPS expects the global market for biologic therapeutic drugs ito increase from USD 285.5 billion in 2020 to USD 421.8 billion by 2025. (sh)
