New heads for Bifa
John Stubbings has succeeded Mark Bromley as the elected national chair of the British International Freight Association (Bifa) for a two year period. Bromley becomes immediate past chair for two years. Peter Bottomley MP remains Bifa president.
In addition, Rachel Morley, general manager for operations at Spatial Global, has been elected vice-chair by the Bifa board. Morley was appointed a director of Bifa in 2017 and chairs the trade association’s Midlands region.
Stubbings has been associated with Bifa for many years, and is currently group director and company secretary at the Woodland Group. He also chairs Bifa’s legal and insurance policy group.
Joining the board as a director is Charles Hogg, commercial director of Unsworth Global Logistics. Hogg is currently chair of Bifa’s maritime, road and rail policy group. He replaces Andrew Melton of Ligentia, who has stepped down after 14 years’ service on the board. Melton will continue to assist Bifa in a council role as vice-president. (mw)
