New head for new joint venture
Staff changes at Cellcentric, the 50:50 fuel cell JV that was formed by Daimler Truck and Volvo Group on 1 March 2021: Matthias Jurytko will take over as managing director and CEO on 1 June. He succeeds Andreas Gorbach, who left the company on 30 April, but will continue to support the company as a member of its advisory board.
Jurytko began his career in 1990 at what was then Mercedes-Benz. Since April 2019, he has been in charge of the Wörth site, Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ largest truck assembly plant.
From 2011, Jurytko was responsible for the Mercedes-Benz plant in Gaggenau. Prior to that, he oversaw the company’s product areas for torque converters, machining and forming technology, operating resources and toolmaking, and Logistics International. (amh)
