New head for a new department
Jean-Sébastien Durand has taken charge of the newly created “strategy & marketing” department of Fraikin Group, a French utility vehicle rental company. As member of the executive committee he reports directly to Fraikin’s CEO Philippe Mellier.
Most recently, Durand was managing director of Driveone, a start-up that specialises in providing driver-based mobility services for passenger cars. After taking a degree in finance, controlling and auditing, Durand started his professional career in 1998 at KPMG in Luxembourg and Paris. Then he worked as financial director for Leaseplan. Later on, he held several positions at Alphabet France and Service Affaires.
According to Fraikin’s head Mellier, Durand‘s economic know-how and his experience gained while working for industry giants and innovative start-ups will help strengthen Fraikin’s position in the market despite an increasingly turbulent global economic environment. (mw)
