New general director for Air Bridge Cargo
Volga-Dnepr Group, which consists of three air cargo carriers – Air Bridge Cargo Airlines (ABC), Volga-Dnepr Airlines (VDA) and Atran airlines (Atran) - has summed up its H1/2019 results. All three carriers showed a 6% cargo volume decline to 2.58 million ftk, which is 20% below expectations and budget.
The group’s board of directors has taken the decision to introduce a restructuring plan aimed at quality enhancement, cost reduction and development of specialist services. As part of this reorganisation, Nikolay Glushnev has been appointed general director of Air Bridge Cargo.
He has more than 14 years of experience in the air cargo sector and has held various positions within ABC up to director operations. His key focus will be to restore ABC customers’ confidence. The restructuring will also aim at maintaining the high level of service quality for customers worldwide. (mw)
